Last week, the Illinois Senate voted to finally end the culture of pay to play politics in Springfield. The Senate sent a strong message to the good ole’ boys that the days of pay-to-play must end. We built a firewall between state officials and those who benefit from state contracts—a common-sense protection, but one that has gone unchecked for far too long.

Debbie's strong campaign in the 11th District led her to be asked to appear onstage at the Convention this week, where she was recognized for being an independent fighter with a track record of creating new jobs in her district.

On Friday morning Debbie and the other candidates for Congress in the 11th district came together for a forum in front of Kankakee Farm Bureau members. This forum gave Debbie the chance to tell voters about her ideas to help working families and specifically those who work in the agriculture industry, throughout the district, Illinois and our country. The topics were diverse and included agriculture issues, alternative energy, and curbing wasteful federal spending.
